12 Things I Love About Lauren

Lauren will turn 12 years old tomorrow.  Today we are having a party for her with some of her closest friends.  Every year I think of just doing a family party to celebrate, but this year she actually made a chain to count down her birthday because she was so excited.  I think she had 41 links on it, so we have been watching the count down for quite some time.  When I think of Lauren I smile a lot. Here are 12 things I love about Lauren:

1. She is nice to everyone (yes, I mean everyone!)

2. She is obedient. No matter what we tell her to do, even if she doesn't want to do it, she will do it.

3. She reads to Asia (our cat) every night.

4. She still "believes"....

5. She says funny things like "Come on Ben, let's blow this Popsicle stick (instead of stand)"!

6. She has a love of the Savior like I have never seen for a 12 year old.

7. She holds us to our word.

8. She blushes when we tease her about boys.

9. Every night when Lauren goes to sleep, she must think she is meant to hibernate because she is so difficult to wake up.

10.  She gets bored taking showers... :)

11.  She watches old, yucky movies with Steve even though she doesn't like them.

12. She is so beautiful.
