Frightmares at Lagoon

For Steve's 42nd birthday, all he wanted was to take his family to Frightmares at Lagoon.  It was a little stressful trying to figure it out because Olivia was supposed to work, but found out that morning that she didn't need to.  I think the best thing about going to Lagoon for "Frightmares" was that the entire park was decked out in the Fall/Halloween theme.  Huge carved pumpkins with lights were strung in every tree.  Ghosts hanging around, scary creatures would follow people in the park, screams of joy and terror were everywhere.  It was so fun.  The real surprise of the day was Ben.  He was terrified of the big roller coasters, but what he was not afraid of at all were the Haunted Houses!  They rank their haunting from 1 spider (not scary) up to 5 spiders (being the ultimate in terror).  I could only handle a 3 spider haunting, but Ben was begging for more!  Oh, how I love that kid!  We saw a great musical show that included scary men with chain saws dancing and signing to "Thriller" and many other songs.  Sounds weird, but was fantastic!  It was especially exciting for Lauren to see one of her BFF's there!  At about 8:30, Ben had had enough and Liv was dying to leave to meet some friends at some dance place, so we had to leave.  It was such a fantastic day and it was even better that it was just our family!
