On May May 22, Ben received his yellow belt in Kempo Karate. It was so stressful to me as a parent. These adult instructors come racing at my child, put their giant hands around his tiny neck and start choking him. It's all part of learning how to defend yourself and Ben did an amazing job at it. I cannot believe how much work it is...if there are any mistakes during training, the children are expected to do at least 10 push ups. If the instructor even feels the slightest bit of disrespect, it's pushups. It's frightening to me, but Ben has LOVED it I couldn't be more proud!

Way to go Ben! Sounds so disciplined, I should sign some kids up.
