Sweetheart's dance was Olivia's first semi-formal dance. Olivia and Dallas doubled with Kennedy and Cameron. The night before they went out and went ice skating. Dances in Utah seem very strange to me. You cannot just walk up to someone and ask them if they want to go to a dance. It is done in some unique way and the answer is done in a similar fashion. Also, taking someone to a dance does not consist of dinner and the dance. It has now stretched out to a full day activity, followed by rushing home to get ready, dinner, the dance and then a movie or out for ice cream or something after. It's nuts...and extremely expensive. Olivia and Kennedy got their nails done on Friday, went on a date ice skating with the boys and then on Saturday they spent hours getting ready while I made dinner for all of them. Off to the dance they went and then back to Kennedy's for a movie. It was fun and exciting. I hope they had a great time!
